What is different about Arabic documents
Names follow your passport, not a transliteration table — Mohamed, Mohammad or Muhammad, whichever your passport says — and keep the full chain of given name, father’s and grandfather’s names and family name in the original order, with a translator’s note mapping them to first / middle / last for US forms.
Civil-registry and Sharia-court terms are rendered the way US officers expect: «بيان قيد» → “civil registry extract”, «قيد عائلي» → “family record”, «مأذون» → “marriage registrar”, «محكمة شرعية» → “Sharia court”, «توثيق» → “attestation / legalization”. Place names use the established English spellings (Aleppo, Baghdad, Alexandria) with the Arabic in brackets where the original is ambiguous.
Every seal, stamp, revenue stamp and attestation chain (civil registry → Ministry of Interior → Ministry of Foreign Affairs → embassy) is described in brackets in the same position, so the translation mirrors the whole page as USCIS requires. The translation reads left to right while keeping the layout of the original table.
Hijri dates are converted to Gregorian with both shown (15 Ramadan 1419 AH — January 3, 1999); day-month-year dates are converted to month-day-year with the month spelled out. Eastern Arabic numerals (٢٠٠٥) are converted to Western digits and checked against the written form.

Arabic Translation FAQ
Does USCIS accept your Arabic translations?
Yes. Every translation comes with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy that meets 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). If USCIS rejects it for a translation reason, we fix it free or refund you in full.
My document already has an English translation stamped by a translation office in Egypt or Jordan — is it enough?
Usually not: the certification is not in the US form and often leaves out stamps. We re-certify or re-translate it for the same $19.95 per page.
Which spelling of my name will you use?
The one in your passport or visa. Send it with your order; it is used on every page and on the certificate, with the Arabic original noted.
Do you translate the attestation stamps on the back?
Yes. Legalization stamps from ministries and embassies are part of the document and are translated at no extra charge if they fit on the same page.
Do you translate dialect or handwritten documents?
Yes. Handwritten entries in older certificates and family books are transcribed, not skipped; illegible fragments are marked as such rather than guessed.
